Federal-Mogul and Texa Team Up Across Europe, Middle East and Africa to Save Workshops Time and Money

Latest version of TEXA diagnostic tool gives technicians easy access to complete Federal-Mogul parts catalogue and expert support

Pressemeldung der Firma Texa Deutschland GmbH

A pan-European agreement between Federal-Mogul (NASDAQ: FDML) and TEXA, a leading diagnostic and garage equipment supplier, will provide technicians with direct access to Federal-Mogul’s complete catalogue and technical expertise. Thanks to the release of the latest TEXA software, TEXA diagnostic solutions now helps technicians to diagnose faults faster, identify the correct OE-quality replacement part from Federal-Mogul and receive technical advice on their installation.

Diagnostic tools play an increasingly important role in driving aftermarket businesses. For multi-brand workshops, fast, accurate, reliable diagnosis makes work easier, more efficient and more profitable. Electronic tools with the ability to also identify the correct part will further enhance the profitability of each repair for workshops: it will save time spent searching catalogues and websites, and reduce the number of returned parts.

The latest TEXA IDC4 CAR software has the possibility to access Federal-Mogul’s technical expertise and its comprehensive catalogue of OE-quality brands (instruction is available at www.fmecat.eu/diagnostics.asp). The link to the Federal-Mogul parts catalogue is now freely available to all TEXA customers willing to do so. The instrument conveniently updates in real time, providing users with the latest information on new models and parts.

„This long-term agreement with TEXA further reinforces Federal-Mogul’s position as the leading repair parts supply partner for workshops and distributors,“ said Olivier Legrand, Federal-Mogul Corporation marketing and business development director, EMEA and South America. „TEXA’s market-leading position and the quality of its diagnostic technology make it an outstanding choice for Federal-Mogul on this project. Technicians will benefit from Federal-Mogul’s depth of technical knowledge and the breadth of its parts catalogue to help them identify and install the right parts quicker. Distributors will be able to dispatch repair parts faster and with greater accuracy.“

„We are extremely proud to have established a cooperation with such a prestigious and historic automotive brand,“ said Elvis Colla, TEXA’s marketing and sales director. „TEXA’s mission consists of helping mechanics through all the stages of the repair activity, from symptom or problem diagnosis through to the correct identification of the replacement spare part.“ That is why TEXA’s IDC4 operative environment contains not only a complete multi-brand diagnostic software, but also wiring schemes, technical information and various multimedia systems designed to best support the vehicle servicing activity. The exclusive and revolutionary system of knowledge sharing (powered by Google Search Aplliance) allows customers to quickly and easily spot solutions for the repair by accessing tens of thousands of TEXA certified technical bulletins. This cooperation represents an important step forward in giving TEXA customers the possibility to directly access the parts catalogues of trusted aftermarket partners such as Federal-Mogul.“
